• While choosing your hair care products, make sure that the main component is not alcohol. Presence of too much alcohol tends to make your hair dry.

• Before entering in a pool, purely wet your hair so your hair will soak up the initial water instead of the chlorinated water in the swimming pool. When swimming, always remember to wear a cap to protect your hair from chlorinated water. If you are not wearing a cap make sure that you condition and shampoo your hair properly after your swimming is over.

• Minimize or avoid the use of hot curlers and hair dryers as much as possible because hot air can be damaging to your hair. If you are regularly using a hair dryer make sure you use the cool mode of the hair dryer.

• After bath not use towel to dry your hair. Leave the remaining moisture in your hair and let it dry naturally.

• If you notice a serious knot in your hair always use your fingers to detangle it instead of combing it, which can result in breakage of hair.

• Use smooth tipped and wide toothed combs. Sharp toothed combs can cause damage to your hair.

• Keep your combs and brushes clean by washing them 2-3 times in a week using soap.

Hair loss and diet are closely associated with each other so you must pay attention to your diet for a healthy hair.
